‘In this phase of vengeance, let us protect our Venezuela and our peace,’ the Boliviarian leader stated.
On Sunday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro harshly criticized the authorization granted by Washington and its allies to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to use long-range missiles against Russia.

“The governments of the United States, France, and Great Britain —the holy alliance of evil— have just approved the criminal Nazi Zelensky to use his long-range missiles to attack our sister Russia,” he said.
“This is a defining moment. U.S. imperialism has entered a phase of madness. In this phase of vengeance, let us protect our Venezuela and our peace,” he added.
“I used to tell the high military command not to let their guard down. Today, I ask them to raise their guard to safeguard peace across the country’s territory,” the Bolivarian leader emphasized.
“All military forces, popular forces, and the people must protect the nation against the delirious madness of the gringo empire,” Maduro stressed at the closing session of the Grand Congress of the Bolivarian Historic Bloc.
Earlier, The New York Times reported that President Joe Biden had authorized President Zelensky to use ATACMS missiles against Russian territory. This possibility was also approved by the governments of France and the United Kingdom, according to the newspaper Le Figaro.
Although neither the White House nor the Pentagon has yet confirmed Biden’s decision, authorizing the use of these weapons by Kyiv mean that NATO countries would be directly participating in combat against Russia, as warned by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
